One of the best ways you can contribute is by volunteering to help develop quality of life education materials for Native American cancer survivors.

Financial support
If you are interested in making a donation to support continued culturally competent recruitment of Native American women into early detection breast cancer programs, please send a check and indicate that the monies are to be used to support Native Sisters.

If you are interested in supporting Native American Cancer Support Programs, print materials, and/or video products (e.g., the Native American survivor’s telling their stories of living beyond a cancer diagnosis), please indicate this on your check.

While implementing the NAWWA, it has become evident that there are a large number of Native Americans living with or beyond a cancer diagnosis. The Native Sisters are interested in developing a cancer patient support program. This program would include providing care packages (i.e., lotions to counteract the dryness and burning of radiation, grooming products, sage, teddy bear) to men or women in the hospital. The project will also support programs, such as, assistance with finding monies to pay for cancer treatment, hospice care, transportation to and from the doctor, cancer survivor circles, family support circles. Such a program would be implemented by our community partners, (i.e., the Denver Indian Center or the Center for Healthy Aging). For those who are interested in making a donation to support the “Native American Cancer Survivor Care Program,” need to indicate that project on their check or letter.
